Studio Sessions:
• My studio doesn’t have central air or heating.
• In the summer, I use a portable AC unit and fans to help keep it comfortable.
• In the winter, I use multiple space heaters to warm the space.
• Please keep weather and temperatures in mind when booking studio sessions during extreme heat or cold
Outdoor Sessions:
Outdoor session times adjust with the season to make the most of natural light.
Sunday Sessions:
Final edits are delivered within 2 to 3 weeks after you send me your photo selections from the unedited proof gallery.
Turnaround time does not begin on the day of your session, it starts once I receive your picks. Be sure to check your email so you don’t miss the proof gallery!
Need your photos faster?
Expedited editing is available for an additional fee. Just let me know before your session if you’d like to add it.
All final images include light retouching—this means things like blemish removal, skin smoothing, and minor body adjustments (like softening a double chin).
I don’t believe in overly editing or changing how you look. If you have something specific you want touched up, please tell me before or during your session—not after the final gallery has been delivered.
If the edit is more extensive and something I’m able to do, an additional fee will apply.
A non-refundable retainer is required to book and hold your session time. The retainer amount depends on the type of session you’re booking—details are listed in each session description.
If you need to reschedule, your retainer can be transferred one time as long as you give at least 48 hours’ notice. After that, a new retainer will be required.
No-shows or cancellations made less than 48 hours before your session will forfeit the retainer—no exceptions.
My studio is located inside an older church in Topeka, Kansas. It’s a cozy space great for portraits, but it does not have central air or heating. In the warmer months, I use a portable AC unit and fans to help keep it cool. In the colder months, multiple space heaters are used to warm the space. Because temperatures can vary throughout the year, please keep weather and comfort in mind when booking studio sessions.
Q: Can I choose more images after the session?
A: Absolutely! Your proofing gallery will let you pick as many images as you’d like. You can purchase more individually or in a bundle.
Q: When will I get to see my pictures?
A: Your unedited proofs will be sent within a week after your session. Once you’ve made your selections, editing begins and your final images will be delivered within 2–3 weeks.
Q: Can I use my $10 print credit on anything?
A: Yes! After your final gallery is delivered, you can use your $10 print credit toward professional prints through your gallery.
Q: Do I have to buy prints?
A: Nope—prints are totally optional. Your final gallery will include high-resolution downloads of any images you purchased.
Q: What if I want more time or people in my session?
A: Easy! You can add more people for $10 each. If you think you’ll need extra time (especially for bigger families or outfit changes), just reach out and we can adjust your session.
Q: What should I/we wear to our session?
A: Wear what makes you feel confident and comfortable! Solid colors, light patterns, and coordinating tones photograph well. Try to avoid logos or busy prints. For families, a shared color palette with mixed textures keeps it cohesive without looking too matchy. If you need help, I’m happy to give input!
Q: Where is your studio located?
A: Inside an older church in Topeka, Kansas.
Q: Do you offer Sunday sessions?
A: Only by request. A non-refundable off-hours fee is required to book a Sunday.
